Direction for Use

After cleansing the skin, place a small amount in the palm of your hand, emulsify lightly and press into your face and neck area (avoiding the delicate eye area). Can be used in the evening and also in the morning.

Palmitoyl Oligopeptide		Contains matrikines that are messengers of cutaneous restructuration and repair. They activate the neosynthesis of extracellular matrix macromolecules providing a visible anti-wrinkle efficacy.

Palmitoyl-Tetrapeptide-7		The inflammatory reaction begins before stretch marks are visible and continues as they appear on the skin from a pink colour fading to white. This prevents and reduces stretch marks by slowing down the degradation and by promoting regeneration of the extracellular matrix.

Centella asiatica extract	Gotu Kola	To aid wound healing, stimulate the production of type 1 collagen and results in a marked decrease in inflammatory reaction and myofibroblast production.
Siegesbeckia orientalis extract		The active constituent has a crystalline structure akin to that of aspirin (salicylic acid) and is responsible for its sedative and Soothing action.
Undaria & Pinnatifida extract		Maintains skin firmness, elasticity and smoothness, supports skin regeneration, defends against environmental stress.

What does Matrixyl do?

Matrixyl was discovered through two branches of dermatological research: the search for substances that accelerate healing skin wounds and the study of what causes wrinkles. Similarly to copper peptides, Matrixyl stimulates the lower layers of the skin to heal themselves, thus accelerating the healing of wounds. Cells called fibroblasts are responsible for knitting together wounds of the skin. As you may know, as one ages wounds take longer to heal. This is partially because fibroblasts slowly lose the capacity for collagen production.

Matrixyl stimulates the “matrix” layers in the skin – primarily collagen and fibronectin. When stimulated, the skin produces more collagen. Loss of collagen is what leads to thinning skin and the wrinkling of newly inelastic skin. Matrixyl helps to counteract this natural part of the ageing process.

Matrixyl 3000

Synthesis of matrix macromolecules: Study of the stimulation of synthesis of extracelular matrix components by fibroblasts incubated for 72 hours with MATRIXYL®3000 (1,3,5%)	Stimulation of gene expression: Study of the regulation of dermal and epidermal genes by matrikines from MATRIXYL®3000 using DNA-Array technique on reconstructed epidermis and on Fibroblast culture. Matrikines from MATRIXYL®3000 show a complementary gene activation profile with respect to the major mechanisms involved in cutaneous restructuration.
Effect on skin tone and elasticity: 2 groups of 23 volunteers aged between 39 and 74 years / twice daily application to one half of the face a cream containing 3% of MATRIXYL® 3000 or 3% of MATRIXYL against placebo, for 2 months. Assessment of elasticity and tone by cutometry on the same group as above. With MATGRIXYL®3000, skin tone and elasticity displayed a major and significant improvement.
